Resilient Network routes

The Transport Resilience Review was commissioned by DfT 2014 following the severe weather of winter 2013/14. The review recommended that Local Authorities “identify a ‘resilient network’ to which they will give priority, in order to maintain economic activity and access to key services during extreme weather”.

A Resilient Network can be mapped on the one.network and can then be used internally to quickly and easily identify works which may be taking place on the resilient network, how long they are on there for and what the impacts would be.

    Hi Kasim,

Thank you for raising this important idea. The ability to map and monitor resilient network routes aligns closely with the DfT’s guidance and would provide real operational value to local authorities.

We’re reviewing how best to support this within One.Network and will be promoting the idea into our backlog for further exploration.

Thanks again for your contribution — we’ll keep you updated here.
